Soccer Field Progress

Soccer is the life blood for most of the kids living in Casa Bernabé Orphanage. "It's a time a day where the kids can forget about their troubles, their futures, their families - and just be kids, athletes, champions," says the director.

So we partnered with Casa Bernabé to bring about a very special project and one close to the hearts of many of us here at Ocean Reef: An artificial turf soccer field. Since it rains 165 days a year in Guatemala, you can imagine the conditions of the old field on most days.  

Because of the generosity of the amazing people at Ocean Reef, we were able to raise the money to build this field. This initiative will not only bless the kids in the orphanage and in the school, but also in the surrounding villages. We are so humbled to see this project complete.
